In this study, barley hybrid populations and segregating generations consist of 289 F2 hybrids, 227 F3 and 293 F4 generations and 273 F5 and F6- Fn families were evaluated using modified bulk method. In total, 284 F2’s, 218 F3’s, 289 plants of F4 were selected to be evaluated in the next generations in the following year. From 273 F5 and F6- Fn families, 279, 281 and 230 pure lines of were selected to be evaluated in the Preliminary Barley Screening Nurseries (PBSN) trials of cold, temperate and warm zone of Iranian the next year, respectively. Some important agronomic traits such as resistance to diseases and lodging, non-shattering rachila, good tillering, appropriate plant height and type, early maturity and seed health were used as criteria for single plant selection.
