The plants breeding projects include of evaluation of different germplasms for selection of superior parents, generating new genetic compounds, evaluation of progeny, and selection of the best of them. In the present project, two sets including 152 and 200 lines and cultivars were planted in a crossing block at the Ahvaz and Karaj research station during the 2020-20201 cropping season, respectively. The goal of hybridization was to create genetic variation among breeding lines in order to increase the possibility of selecting high-yielding lines with desirable characteristics such as tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses, resistance to grain shattering and loading, and yields stability, etc. At the end of the growth and physiological maturity stages, 58 simple crosses and 14 compound crosses produced. Furthermore, 68, 69, 75, and 78 individuals were selected for further evaluation as F2 in Karaj, Ahvaz, Gonbad, and Zabol , respectively.
