Because of occurrence of bolting which has undesirable effects on yield and quality of sugar beet, identification and introduction of bolting resistant cultivars for autumn sowing regions is of special importance. This research was carried out to determine the adaptation of foreign bolting resistant sugar beet cultivars in four locations [(Dezful, Mahshad (Torbat-e-Jaam), Darab and Gonbad)] in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications for two years (2018-19 and 2019-20). Treatments included 10 foreign monogerm cultivars, four foreign resistant checks, one domestic tolerant check and one susceptible check. The traits studied included total plant number, total number of bolted plants, root yield and quality traits. Results showed that in Dezful, the cultivars BOSS, NERO, B7119, CHARLESTON, SILANTO and JUNCAL had significantly higher white sugar yield than the mean of the resistant checks and also displayed very low bolting tendency (less than 0.1%). So, these cultivars could be recommended for Khuzestan province, especially for Dezful. In Darab, the cultivars BTS4770, CHARLESTON and JUNCAL with 15.9, 15.2 and 16.3 t.ha-1, respectively, had significantly higher white sugar yield than the mean of the resistant checks but only BTS4770 displayed low bolting rate (0.1%), so this cultivar could be recommended for cultivation in Darab. Due to the high bolting percent in all cultivars in Mashhad (Torbat-e-Jaam), none of them could be recommended for this region. In GONBAD, only NERO had significantly higher white sugar yield than the mean of the resistant checks and also displayed lower bolting tendency (0.09%). So, this cultivar could be recommended for this area and other similar areas in Golestan province.
