In order to investigate the effect of different tillage systems including no tillage, reduced tillage and conventional tillage methods on grain yield of cultivars and promising genotypes of rainfed wheat, this experiment was conducted during three crop years (2017-18 to 2020-21) in different climatic conditions of the Innovation platforms (IP) in Kurdistan province. In Hosseinabad IP (cold region) in the first year 26, in the second year 27 and in the third year 20 genotypes were evaluated under three tillage systems including no tillage, reduction tillage and conventional tillage while in Kamyaran IP (temperate region) in the first year 17, in the second year 17 and in the third year 16 genotypes were used. At Hosseinabad IP, grain yield in the first year in no-till, reduced tillage and conventional tillage systems was equal to 1231, 1126 and 1240 kg / ha, respectively. In the second and the third years, grain yield in the NT was equal to 2557 and 800 kg / ha, which increased by 167 and 34 kg / ha, respectively, compared to the CT. In Kamyaran, the increase in grain yield in NT compared to the CT during the first, second and third years was equal to 736, 46 and 123 kg/ha, respectively. The response of genotypes to tillage systems was also different. In general, most of the introduced cultivars (Baran, Varan, Sadra, Hashtrood, Ouhadi, Homa, Jam, Rad) had shown a positive response to conservation tillage systems (NT&RT) in both regions and years. Therefore, growhing these cultivars is recommended for rainfed areas in Kurdistan province without worrying about reducing the yield under conservation agricultural system.
