In order to study of changing the planting date from spring to autumn for benefit more from autumn and winter rainfall and reduce dependence on irrigation, this project was carried out in three experiments in Borujerd agricultural research station (2017-2019. The experiment was performed as a split plot design in the form of randomized complete blocks in 3 replications with split plot arrangement and in three separate experiments under no irrigation, limited irrigation and full irrigation regimes. The main plots includes three planting dates: Nov, Feb. and Mar. The sub-plots includes 13 genotypes of native populations (NorAbad, Zanjan, Borujerd1, 2and3, KhoramAbad, Dorud and Aleshtar) and lines (SL1,SL2 ,SL3 and SL4). The results of analysis of variance showed that the planting date, genotype and interaction effect of genotype × planting date was significant at the level of 1% probability. The results of comparing the mean interaction of planting date × genotype showed that the highest fresh forage yield in all three conditions was related to the planting date of Nov. and SL5 line with 43.80(t/h) in non-stress conditions, 27.93 (t/h) for low irrigation condition. SL3, Noorabad and SL5 were with 16.6, 16.53 and 16.47 (t/h) in rainfed conditions, respectively. The same results were obtained for dry forage yield. Also, the highest grain yield in all three conditions was related to Nov. planting date and SL5 line with 3962.5 kg / ha in non-stress conditions, 2841.64 kg / ha for low irrigation , SL1 and SL5 lines with 2145.03 and 1967.79 kg/ha in rainfed conditions respectively. Therefore, for seed and forage production, the planting date of Nov. is superior to the planting date of Mar.( the customary planting date) of the region, so it is recommended. The use of lines, especially SL5, and in the next SL3 and SL1, and among the population, Noorabad is recommended for seed production in rainfed conditions, and Boroujerd 1 and Noorabad are recommended for forage production for low irrigation and rainfed conditions
