An experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficiency of 9 brands of Trifluoralin herbicide for controlling weeds in soybean farms in a randomized complete block design with 10 treatments and 4 replications during 2018 in Ardebil, Mazandaran, and Golestan provinces. The experimental treatments included the pre plant incorporated application of trifluralin herbicide at 2.5 liters per hectare belonging to the trade mark (1) Arman Sabz Adineh, 2) Arya Shimi, 3) Spidar Pardis, 4) Aksir Keshavarz Yazd, 5) Shimi Keshavarz, 6 ) Kimia Saadat Iranian, 7) Giah, 8) Gita Shimi Sahand, 9) Maher Shimi, and 10) hand weeding. In both experimental sites, the average biological yield of soybeans was significantly higher for all commercial brands than weedy check. In Mazandaran and Ardebil, weed interference caused a reduction of 68.6% and 47.5% of soybean seed yield, respectively. In Ardebil, all commercial brands of trifluoralin increased the seed yield of soybeans compared to weedy check. In Mazandaran, the average of weed density for all trifluralin commercial brands was significantly lower than weedy check, which at least caused a 50% reduction in weed density. In Ardebil, among the commercial brands of trifluralin, the lowest weed density was belong to the two brands of Aksir Keshavarz Yazd, and Arman Sabz Adineh, but with other brands, with the exception of Arya Shimi, this difference was not significant. In Ardebil, the lowest weed dry weight was related to the brand of Gita Shimi Sahand; however, there were no significant differences with Kimia Saadat Iranian, Maher Shimi, Aksir Keshavarz Yazd, Giah, and Shimi Keshavarz brands. In Ardabil, the highest dry weight reduction percentage of weeds in comparison to weedy check (77.8%) was related to the commercial brand of the Giah. Gita Shimi Sahand, and Maher Shimi with 62.5% and 59.8%, dry weight reduction percentage of weeds in comparison to weedy check respectively, were other superior brands of trifluralin. In Mazandaran, and Golestan, based on the visual evaluation in the early and middle of the growing season, none of the trifluralin brands had phytotoxic effects on soybean. In Ardebil, based on visual evaluation in the middle of the growing season, the most weed control efficacy was belonged to the Maher Shimi (with a mean control percentage of 80.4%) followed by Gita Shimi Sahand (with a mean control percentage of 78.3%), Giah (With a mean control percentage of 74.2%), Kimia Saadat Iranian (with an average control percentage of 72.5%) and Shimi Keshavarz (with a mean percentage control of 70%). Based on the results of this study, the application pre plant incorporated application of the 9 Trifluralin brands at 2.5 L/ha, is recommended for soybean weed control. Keywords: Soybean, trifluralin, weed control
