In order to achieve high yielding bread wheat lines/varieties with good adaptability in saline areas, this study was carried out in five research stations (Yazd, Zabol, Kerman, Esfahan and Birjand). A randomized complete block design (RCBD) was setup with 20 newly promising lines and varieties including two checks (Narin and Barzghar) in 3 replications at 5 agricultural research stations under saline conditions (Ecwater=8-12ds/m and Ecsoil=10-14ds/m) for two years cropping seasons (2019-2021). During the cropping season the following field data were recorded: days to heading (DHE), plant height (PLH), thousand kernel weight (TKW), shuttering and days to maturity (DMA). After harvesting, grains of each plot were weighted separately and collected data were analyzed. Under salinity stress condition, the range of grain yield of 20 genotypes, was between 2583 and 6683 kg ha-1 and their mean yield was 4437 kg ha-1. The mean grain yield of the check cultivars (Narin and Barzghar) was 4886 and 4845, respectively. Results of stability analysis on grain yield using non-parametric method of ranking based on (R) and SDR, comparing the mean yield of the lines, due to Yield Index Ratio (YIR%), field notes and reaction to diseases showed that genotypes no.3, 8 and 18 were yield stable and high adaptable genotypes. These superior lines were selected to be evaluated/studied in on-farm trials.
