Due to the fact that essential oils, in addition to being used in pharmacy, have a wide range of uses in the food and cosmetics industries, aromatic plants or essential oils are a very important part of Iranian medicinal plants. In order to determine the use of medicinal and aromatic plants and their economic value, first of all, it is necessary to extract and analyze their effective ingredients. In the previous two phases of this project, about 600 species of aromatic plants in Iran were researched in terms of quantity and quality of essential oils. This research has been the basis for selecting the proper species for cultivation and domestication projects. The third phase of this project was prepared to study other remaining plants, especially the endemic aromatic species of Iran. In this phase, another 200 species of aromatic plants of Iran were studied. In each sub-project of this national project, 11 to 26 aromatic plant species that had not been studied before were selected. Then by collecting information about other species of the desired genus and previous experiences, suitable plant organs (flowering branches, seeds, Flowers, etc.) and the appropriate method of essential oil extraction (water distillation, water and steam distillation or direct steam distillation) were selected. The plant parts were collected at the appropriate phenological time (before flowering, full flowering or seeding) from their natural habitats. After essential oil collection and determination of oil yield, instrumental Divices (GC and GC / MS) were used for oil analysis. Then, by studying the mass spectra and calculating the inhibition indices of the constituents of the essential oils were identified. The complete results are presented in the attached files.
