Olive fruit fly, Bactrocera oleae Rossi (Dip.: Tephritidae) is the most important pest of olive orchards in IRAN. Larve of pest by feeding of fruits causes the fall off before harvesting and reduction the quality and quantity of the olive oil. There are different methods to control the pest such as using different types of traps by attractive compounds or sexual pheromones, bait spray on canopy, trunk or spray on some rows of trees and cover spray. In this project we studied, the application of several traps for olive fruit fly control in 2018 – 2020. Two olive groves were selected as pilots. In the first grove, pest management and control were performed in the usual way, and in another, several types of traps were used to attract adult olive fruit flies. The traps included yellow sticky traps, yellow sticky traps with sex pheromones, Mc-phail traps with protein hydrolyzate, Olipe traps with protein hydrolyzate, and bait spraying. The treatments included yellow sticky trap, yellow sticky trap + sex pheromone, Mcphail trap, olipe traps, bait spray. Results showed that if different traps were used due to their different efficiency in attract male and female of olive fruit fly, the amount of damage and contamination of fruits will be very low. In the first year, in Mehr (Sep/Oct) total infestation in the control was 101.66 ± 5.92 and in the treated grove was 93.66 ± 2.14 That had significant differences. In the second year, there was a significant difference between the treatments in most months. In the third year, except for the first month, in other months, total infestation between the two treatments was significantly different. This is very important that due the beginning of autumn and the cooling of the air and the increase of the pest population, the total infestation of fruits will be increase and the traps will not be very efficient. Keywords: Integrated pest management, Olive, Olive fruit Fly, Trap
