To prepare and preliminary evaluate of rhizomania-resistant multigerm hybrids, five polygram hybrids along with two Iranian multigerm controls (Motahar and IC cultivars), foreign resistant controls and Aras cultivar under disease-infected conditions in five regions of Hamedan, Karaj, Mashhad, Shiraz, and West Azerbaijan were evaluated in a completely randomized complete block design in 2020. In this study, root yield, sugar content, white sugar content, sugar yield, and white sugar yield were measured. Analysis of variance of genotypes in different environments showed that the differences between genotypes in terms of all studied traits except white sugar yield in Karaj environment, sugar content in Mashhad, sugar content, white sugar content, sugar yield and white sugar yield in the environment of Shiraz were significant. Although genotypes 1, 2, 3, and 7 (Motahar) had the highest root yield among the studied genotypes in Karaj environment, there was no significant difference between genotypes in terms of white sugar yield. In Mashhad environment, four hybrids No. 2, 3, 4, and 5 had the highest root yield, sugar content, white sugar content, sugar yield and white sugar yield compared to the others. In Shiraz environment, polygram hybrids No. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7(Motahar) had the highest root yield. In Miandoab environment, the highest root yield, sugar content, white sugar content, sugar yield, and white sugar yield were assigned to foreign control No. 9. In Hamedan environment, the highest root yield, sugar content, white sugar content, sugar yield, and white sugar yield were gained in genotype No 3. Evaluation of genotypes for all locations showed that genotype No. 3 had the highest root yield, sugar yield, and white sugar yield. Based on the results of cluster analysis, 9 sugar beet genotypes were classified into three groups. Genotypes No. 4, (Motahar) 7, 5, 2, and 3 were located in the first cluster. The genotypes of this cluster had the higher sugar yield and white sugar yield than other two clusters and average of all clusters. In this group, four new polygram hybrids, except No 1, along with the No.7 (Motahar) had the most suitable quantitative and qualitative characteristics. Therefore, it is recommended to select these hybrids for future breeding programs that lead to the release of new cultivars. Keywords: white sugar yield, Pollinator, Resistance, Hybrid.
