Wheat seed is the largest seed production in the country with the annual production of 4500 tons and over 200 privacy companies being active in the production. The present research's main questions deal with the capability of the Iranian-made machines in seed conditioning; their competitiveness as compared to similar foreign-made machines, and the operators' skills in operating the existing machines, three wheat conditioning lines including Arvin Sanat Iranian, Ram Sanat Bahareh and Azaran Boujar Iranian that comprise 90 percent of the conditioning lines in the production unit that were compared with "Akyurek Technology" made in Turkey in a complete randomized design. Sardari rainfed wheat cultivar was randomly assigned to different lines. The Quality test included pure seed, weight of 1000 seeds, other seeds by number, seed germination percent, seed vigor, electrical conductivity and pure life seed germination percent. Moreover, seeds cleaning efficiency (Cn), separation efficiency (Sn), and process efficiency (Pn) were assessed for each of the machines and lines. Investigations showed that Iranian conditioning lines have increased pure seed and the number of other seeds in a pre-basic level. The percent of pure seeds, broken seeds, other weeds' seeds by number and the final weight of 1000 seeds showed significant difference at 5% level. However, no statistical difference was observed regarding the number of noxious weeds seed, germination percent, germination speed, seedling length vigor index, seedling weight vigor index and electrical conductivity. Some of the machines showed better function as to other similar machines. In summarizing the triad efficiency, the most efficient machines were basic cleaner, gravity table, length separator and pre-cleaner, respectively. Also, the employment of all the machines are necessary in the seed production lines in order to attain the highest quality seeds. The result of Akyurek production lines could not be compared to the Iranian production lines due to not having skilled operator. Furthermore, there is a need for improving the precision of the length separator. Because wastage had a considerable percentage seed and it is crucial to retrieve them by complementary machines. What's more, seed production units can improve and increase their seed conditioning's knowledge and skill in employing full-time operators.
