In order to evaluate the stability and compatibility of yield of cultivars and forage sorghum pure lines, an experiment was conducted base on a randomized complete block design with three replications in seven regions of Karaj, Gorgan, Brojerd, Sanandej, Shiras, Yazd, and Zabol for to years(2018 – 2019).Combined analysis of variance two years and seven locations showed that genotypes had significant difference (p≤0.01). Means comparisons showed the KFS18 line with fresh and dry forage yield was superior to 121.1 and 32.1 tha-1 respectively, compared to other genotypes. KFS17 line in terms of dry forage yield was in second place with 28.5 tha-1. Check cultivar (Pegah) was in second place in terms of fresh forage yield with 109.5 tha-1, but pegheh cultivar with dry fresh yield of 24.5 tha-1was in much lower ranks than KFS18 line. Mean comparison of yields showed that in terms of dry forage yield second year was superior with 28.3 tha-1 compared to the first year was 25.1 tha-1 and also, the fresh forag yield of the second year with 104.1 tha-1 was superior to the first year with 101.4 tha-1. In terms of fresh and forage yield . KFS18 line with the lower amount of MS and high yield was recognized as the most stable line. According to Biplot , Model AMMI KFS18 line has stability in most environments. In terms of fresh and dry yield it was recognized as astable line. Also KFS18 line was determined as one of the top four genotypes in most environments. In general, KFS18 line with high yield and stability in different environments was indentified as the most suitable line.Key words: Forage sorghum, compatibility, stability, forage yield.
