The purpose of this study is to classify the qualitative land suitability by parametric method in irrigated lands with soil survey studies of West Qazvin province with an approximate area of 440 thousand hectares (5 regions). For this purpose, phenological information, weather data and soil and land information extracted from soil studies of the region and digitized soil maps for the study area were used. These studies were carried out for 16 field and 7 orchard crops. land suitability evaluation for field such as wheat, barley, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, watermelons, Muskmelons and alfalfa suitable (S1) And for rice, beans, grain maize, canola, potato, onion, forage maize are (S2).According to the results of the classification of land suitability for field crops, the largest of area are as S1 class for sugar beet, S2 for wheat, S3 for canola, , N1 for cucumber and N2 for beans. The results of field crops show that the most of land is classified the hight area is S3 class. The largest of area are as S2 class for grapes, S3 for olive, , N1 class for Pistachios and N2 for walnut. The studied climates are classified for more orchard crops in the S2 and S3. The main limitations of land for field and orchard crops are the characteristics of soil fertility and physical, climate, salinity/alkalinity. Basically, cultivating different crops in the S2 and S1 classes is recommended, but the S3 class depends on the type of limiting factors. The results of land suitability studies are important for the optimal use of soil resources. Keywords:Land suitability classification, Field and orchard crops, parametric method, Qazvin
